With over $25.4 billion in fiscal year 2021 funding allocated to procurement, the Department of the Air Force’s acquisition enterprise saw what Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, Andrew Hunter called a “tremendous year.”

Going forward, Hunter said the Air Force is focused on delivering operational capability to the warfighter, cultivating a vibrant innovation base poised for strategic competition and transforming the acquisition enterprise for the 21st century. Guided by Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall’s seven operational imperatives, the Air Force is prioritizing space architecture integration across all domains and nuclear modernization.
